Dr. Ardie Walser as singer, pianist and songwriter, was a member of the award winning vocal trio BLACK TIE, two-time winners of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Club (MAC) Award for Outstanding Vocal Group and the winners of the Bistro Awards for Outstanding Vocal Group and Best New York Debut. With Black Tie he has shared the stage with the likes of Melba Moore at Carnegie Hall; Sylvia Sims and Ann Hampton Callaway at Town Hall; and Noel Pointer at Avery Fisher Hall; and performed on radio and appeared on a number of TV shows such as The Joan Rivers Show. He has recorded with a wide range of artists from cabaret to pop including – Jazz Composer, Anke Helfrich; Cabaret Artist, Natalie Douglas; Salsa Singer, Michael Stuart; and Salsa Star, Marc Anthony.
Kenny Davis - Bassist, Composer, Educator
Kenny Davis is a native of Chicago, Illinois, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. Upon entering Northeastern University, he discovered jazz music and he quickly became part of the Chicago jazz scene. Kenny moved to New York in 1986, where he played with Out of the Blue (OTB), and then quickly adapted to the New York scene, appearing with such artists as Freddie Hubbard, Cassandra Wilson, Abbey Lincoln, Diane Reeves, and Art Farmer, while studying music with Ron Carter. One of the highlights of his career was being a music arranger for a song on the Grammy Award-winning CD by artist Cassandra Wilson, “Blue Light Till Dawn”. Throughout the ’90s, Davis toured with such notable jazz artists as Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves, and Art Farmer. Kenny was also the bassist of The Tonight Show Band from September 1999 through March 2002. Kenny was the bass teacher at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) from 2003 through 2009. Also, in May 2006 Kenny received his Master of Music (MA) from Rutgers University.
Luciano Minetti - Pianist
Luciano Minetti is a New York based musician with diverse experience as a performing/recording artist while currently working on the product development team at KORG, a global music technology company. Luciano graduated with a degree in music from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2018 and has since performed internationally with artists including Eddie Palmieri, Arianna Neikrug, Kenny Davis, Eddie Allen, Ralph Bowen, Conrad Herwig, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Claudio Roditi, among others. Luciano has performed at venues including Blue Note and Trumpets Jazz Clubs, Birdland, Smalls, Subrosa Latin Jazz Club, and the radio station at WBGO 88.3. He was recently featured as a guest performer at the Cuban International Jazz Festival in Havana, Cuba.
Jarrett D. Walser - Drummer, Composer, Educator
What started out as an inquisitive, playful orchestration on pots and pans, at the age of three, grew into a passion. Jarrett’s first love has always been jazz. This allure commenced at the age of 11 when he began studying at NJPAC Wells Fargo Jazz for Teens program. After his studies at NJPAC, he continued to pursue his passion for music at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he received his B.A. and M.M. in Jazz Performance. Jarrett has made a career playing with various artists over a wide variety of genres from jazz, to rock to theater. Some notable artists Jarrett has performed with include Rufus Reid, Chico Freeman and Valery Ponomarev, to name a few. Jarrett currently leads the Jarrett Walser Pack, a modern jazz quartet playing his original compositions, incorporating a mixture of fusion, R & B, funk and rock. When not performing, Jarrett is an educator, sharing his love of music and inspiring the next generation of young artists.
