Evening worship with contemporary prose, poetry, scripture reading and amazing jazz music in our church lounge this time featuring The Caylen Bryant Trio.

Come and celebrate God as we do a new thing in the spirit of Psalm 150.

 Dr. Ardie Walser as singer, pianist and songwriter, was a member of the award winning vocal trio BLACK TIE, two-time winners of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Club (MAC) Award for Outstanding Vocal Group and the winners of the Bistro Awards for Outstanding Vocal Group and Best New York Debut. With Black Tie he has shared the stage with the likes of Melba Moore at Carnegie Hall; Sylvia Sims and Ann Hampton Callaway at Town Hall; and Noel Pointer at Avery Fisher Hall; and performed on radio and appeared on a number of TV shows such as The Joan Rivers Show. He has recorded with a wide range of artists from cabaret to pop including – Jazz Composer, Anke Helfrich; Cabaret Artist, Natalie Douglas; Salsa Singer, Michael Stuart; and Salsa Star, Marc Anthony. 

Caylen Bryant - Bass

Caylen has been singing for as long as she can remember, and at the age of seven, she picked up the cello. Years later, she began playing bass in her second year at Oberlin Conservatory where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Bass Performance. She continued her music training in 2022 at Julliard where she earned her Master’s degree.

She is currently performing with Kandace Springs, and has been touring nationally and internationally with her since 2018. Rubén Blades has described Caylen as a wonderful storyteller, remarking on how well she can deliver a story through music.

Elliot Bernard - Pianist

Hailing from Leesburg, Virginia, Bernard cultivated his interest in jazz under the mentorship of the veteran military musicians of the Washington, D.C. area. He completed his undergraduate studies as a jazz piano performance major at William Paterson University in 2022 where he studied with pianists Bill Charlap, Kevin Hays, Aaron Diehl, Geoff Keezer, and Mike LeDonne. Bernard has since performed with musicians such as Winard Harper, Bruce Williams, Jerry Weldon, and Leo Johnson. An educator as well as performer, he maintains a teaching studio of his own in the greater New York metropolitan area.

Camille GainerDrummer

Camille Gainer a native New Yorker, has established herself with a rich career poised with artistic ability and versatility. She began playing drums and other instruments such as guitar, violin and piano at the age of 11. She then went on to study with master drummer Michael Carvin. Her diligence and perseverance earned her a full scholarship at Brooklyn’s Long Island University, where she got to study with other greats such as Keith Copeland. 

Camille has gone on to work with such luminous artist as Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Roberta Flack, Jean Carn, Noel Pointer, Steve Coleman, Greg Osby, Chuck Mangione, Marc Cary, Christian McBride, Michael Urbaniak, Ursula Dudziak, Melky Sedeck, Worl-a-Girl, Capelton, Lt.Stitchie, Tanya Stephens,Sugar Minott, M.C. Shan and the Juice Crew All-Stars of which she was the musical Director, Monifa, Heavy D, Angela Bofill, Weldon Irvine, Joan Jett, Onaje Allen Gumbs, Leni Stern, Kelis, J.T. Taylor, Les Nubians,Cyndi Lauper, Alicia Keys,Vernon Reid, Nona Hendryx, Rhonda Ross, Diana Ross, Wayne Brady and Kandace Springs. As a producer she is credited with many records such as her own album a "Girl From Queens, Marc Cary's "Indigenous People", Sharp Radway's “The Black Woman” and Kandace Springs' “Run Your Race” and many more.
