Evening worship with contemporary prose, poetry, scripture reading and amazing jazz music in our church lounge this time featuring the Reggie Pittman Quartet.

Come and celebrate God as we do a new thing in the spirit of Psalm 150.

Dr. Ardie Walser as singer, pianist and songwriter, was a member of the award winning vocal trio BLACK TIE, two-time winners of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Club (MAC) Award for Outstanding Vocal Group and the winners of the Bistro Awards for Outstanding Vocal Group and Best New York Debut. With Black Tie he has shared the stage with the likes of Melba Moore at Carnegie Hall; Sylvia Sims and Ann Hampton Callaway at Town Hall; and Noel Pointer at Avery Fisher Hall; and performed on radio and appeared on a number of TV shows such as The Joan Rivers Show. He has recorded with a wide range of artists from cabaret to pop including – Jazz Composer, Anke Helfrich; Cabaret Artist, Natalie Douglas; Salsa Singer, Michael Stuart; and Salsa Star, Marc Anthony. 

Reggie Pittman (trumpter) Grammy award winner, Reggie Pittman is one of the most in demand musicians (trumpeter) in his home of New York City. He has performed on national TV, for Broadway shows, and with many jazz, gospel and R&B artists/groups. He has traveled extensively. He has been nominated for a Tony award. Mr. Pittman was a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Pittman is also an educator, real estate investor and realtor. He is also an advocate for prostate health. He hails from Cleveland, Ohio.

Adrian Moring (bassist) Born as the son of veteran NY Jazz bassist Bill Moring, Adrian Moring has been a part of the New York jazz scene his entire life. After taking piano and saxophone lessons at early ages, Adrian settled on the bass at eleven and advanced quickly with the help of his dad and many other musicians around him. Aside from lessons with his father, Adrian has studied with Ron Carter, Rufus Reid, Larry Grenadier, Joris Teepe, Steve Laspina, Marcus Mclaurine, Harvie S, Ben Wolfe, Jay Anderson, and Harold Mabern. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Bass from William Paterson, Adrian went on to pursue his Master’s degree in Jazz at Manhattan School of Music in 2014. Adrian has played with Mulgrew Miller, Phil Woods, Steve Nelson, Antonio Hart, Billy Hart, Rodney Green, Adam Niewood, Bill Goodwin, Duane Eubanks, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He has performed at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Small’s, Mezzrow, and 55 Bar, as well as the Montreal Jazz Festival, COTA Jazz Festival and the Scranton Jazz Festival. Adrian Moring now resides in Harlem and works regularly as a professional player and teacher.

James Preston (Pianist, Composer, Musical Director) Pianist, James Preston, is a Grammy nominated composer! James is CEO of Federal Reserve Music Notes, LLC a company established to provide musical content for feature films, TV and Games. He is an expert using digital audio workstations like pro tools and logic. James has been a writer and publisher member of ASCAP since 1992. He has served as the musical director for many musical groups and artists, such as Chico DeBarge, Priceless Band, Monique Bingham and Lisa Lavie. James is a member of the 802 musicians union.

Drummer Jonathon Peretz has been playing professionally for more than 20 years and is based out of the New York City area.  Originally from Ann Arbor/Detroit area, he studied music at Oakland University in Michigan, studying with late Detroit drumming greats Jimmy Allen and Gene Stewarts, as well as Gary Chaffe, and latin percussion master Johnny Almendra.  He has honed his craft working closely with an impressive array of musical masters, including the late trumpet giants Maynard Ferguson, Freddie Hubbard, vocalist Jean Carne, Bob James, Tim Ries, David Mann, guitarist Jimi Tunnell, singer Ben E. King and The Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre to name a few.

In 1990 he was a member of the band for the HBO comedy special "Robert Wuhl's World Tour," and from '92 to '93 he toured exclusively with Latin pop star Emmanuel (Sony Latin artist).  From 1993 to 1995 he was a member of the legendary Blood, Sweat & Tears with David Clayton-Thomas, and then moved on to tour all over the world for two years ('95-'97) with the international pop sensation Ricky Martin.  Jonathon is now working largely out of the New York City area where he regularly does freelance gigs, clinics and recording sessions in various musical settings, as well as working with his own band JPQ.
