Upcoming Events 
Morning Bible Study
The morning bible study group meets in the Library every Tuesday at 10 a.m.  We hope you will come.
 
Noon time Prayer Service
Join us for a time of prayer and conversation with God resuming on this Tuesday, September 11th, our noon time prayer service resumes in the Chapel.  We hope to see you there!
 
Chronological Bible Study
We will be resuming this coming week on Thursday, September 13th at 7 p.m., where we will begin with Exodus 8:20.  We look forward to seeing everyone at this weekly event as well. Everyone is welcome to bring a friend.
 
Welcome Back Luncheon
Our Fellowship Committee will be hosting a “Welcome Back” Luncheon and “White Elephant” gift exchange in our Lounge after service on Sunday, September 16th.  Anyone interested  can purchase tickets, priced at $8.00/person.
 
Second's After School Program
We covet your prayers for the grand opening of our After School program on September 17.  We are creating a warm and welcoming place in which the youth (5th and 6th graders) of Hackensack can grow academically and socially.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact the church office.
 
Discipleship Discussion Series
Many people yearn to have a closer relationship with God and experience their faith in a deeper, more profound way.  In the book, Courage to Pray, Dr. William Brownson inspires us to invest ourselves in prayer and the joy in our growing experience of God Almighty.  The group will meet at 11:30 a.m. on September 23, October 7, 14, 21, November 4, 11, and 25.  Bagels will be served.  Books are available for $10.  Or you may download a free pdf version of the book

We remember and give thanks for those members of the church who have gone before us to be with the Lord. We are comforted, as the Scriptures remind us, that both in life and in death we belong to the Lord. (Rom. 14:8).
 
 
We pray that God will make complete the union of our departed ones and Himself, and that we might one day share in the same eternal communion. We call to remembrance those members of the church who departed since we last observed All Saints Sunday:

Our Food Pantry

 
Our church's food pantry provides food to local families every month. We rely upon the congregation for much needed supplies.
 
If you would like to assist, please find a list of items below that we need. Please bring your donations on the first Sunday of each month. The next donation day is March 4, 2018. Thank you for your help. 
 
  • Paper Towels
  • Toilet Paper
  • Facial Tissues
  • Coffee
  • Cereal
  • Tea
  • Canned fruit
  • Bottles water
  • Toiletry items: toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, hair conditioner, shaving blades, shaving cream
  • Dinty Moore beef stew or equivalent
  • Small canned hands (note: small hams do not require refrideration, large hams do!)
  • Fruit drinks (preferably small containers)
